Ball Sorter DESIGN PROCESS

Name/Group Name: TeamAWESOME

DESIGN TASK:

The group, TeamAWESOME, was assigned by a rich bachelor to make a ball sorter for the separation of contaminated balls from good ones.

Design Brief:
A ball sorter is a machine that is used to sort balls of various characteristics. In this situation, a ball sorter is to be used for sorting contaminated balls from uncontaminated ones. If successful, the machine will correctly sort the varying balls according to their two chosen characteristics. The group expects that the ball sorter will work perfectly and will be well coordinated as the machine sorts the balls accordingly.

Design Requirement:
1.      The container or compartment should have two partitions: one for the table tennis balls and the other for the marbles
2.     Along the lane or chute, the balls and marbles should be able to sort until it reaches the compartment intended for each of them
3.     The artefact should be made of cardboard, illustration board or chipboard
4.     Containers (bin and compartment) should not exceed twenty (20) centimeters in length, width and height
5.     Length of the lane or chute varies depending on the design

Top 5 constraints and considerations

CONSTRAINTS:

1. Materials to be used
2. Size of bin
3. Ping pong of balls and marbles
4. 2 bins
5. 1 ball sorter
CONSIDERATIONS:

1.  Height of ball sorter
2.  Design of ball sorter
3.  Color of ball sorter
4. Amount of cardboard to be used
5. Workers

EVALUATION CRITERIA:

Use your top five to write five questions that you can use to evaluate your work when you have finished your artefact.

1. Does the ball sorter work as expected?
2. Did the balls roll on its designated path?
3. Have all the materials been used?
4. Did the plan work?
5. Have all the guidelines been followed correctly?

Hi Guys :)

Hi GUYS !!

Thank you for visiting our blog.
Feel free to see anything.

This blog is created for the purpose of completing our project this first quarter.
And also to document how we do the project.
Everytime our group met, we'll update the design process of our project.
